Educational Arduino Two-Wheeled Robot Kit
Over the summer of 2021, I taught and developed a cirriculum for a 8 class course on basic arduino electronics and programming. To provide a unique hands-on experience for the students in the class, I developed a simple two wheeled robot kit which was designed to be simple to build, manufacture, low cost, and educational.
The robot features a easy to manufacture 3D-printed chassis with two compliant "bumpers" connected to pushbuttons. A simple two wheel direct driven setup allows the robot to move. Students explored concepts including writing/reading to/from the Arduino GPIO and PWM motor control.
